I feel like Mama Miller

Mama Miller was born before the invention of the telephone and her phone etiquette, unlike her real etiquette, left a bit to be desired. In her later years, whenever she spoke to someone on the phone she'd "speak her piece" then hang up. There was no "That'll be fine. (pause) Alright, I'll see you soon. Goodbye" for her. She said what she needed to and hung up. She hadn't quite figured it out.

I feel the same way about this blog. Obviously from the (almost) larger than life photograph of my favorite hedgehog, I haven't quite figured it out. The sizing of photos and deciphering of gadgets is a bit foreign to me. However, I have some time on my hands now that Martha has decided not to share her daily chore list in the opening pages of her magazine. So, instead of knowing when to trim my persimmon tree or winterize my garden shed, I'll be nesting in this new place known as "home" to my outermost inner monologue.

Cheers.
